Simply put, WSC consults with clients to ensure their education and workforce development efforts truly match the needs of their regional economy. Since 1998, WSC experts have helped design and put in place sustainable education and workforce development initiatives, enabling state and regional authorities to achieve real results.
- Commonwealth of Virginia: At the request of the Governor, WSC developed a statewide plan for designing, implementing, and marketing career pathways to better serve the more than 254,000 who benefit from workforce programs and services across the Commonwealth.
- Boston, Massachusetts: WSC is assisting The Boston Foundation to work with business leaders to launch an advocacy campaign to strengthen the role community colleges play in the Greater Boston Region’s workforce development efforts.
- Des Moines, Iowa: WSC provided technical assistance to Central Iowa Works to organize their workforce development strategies around region-wide industry sectors. In the current economic climate, the effort is focused on addressing the needs of employers and their incumbent workers, and preparing dislocated, unemployed, and underemployed workers for successful reentry into the workforce.
